Are navigation products for different platforms compatible with each other?

No, they’re not. A navigation product designed for a specific navigation system (Blaupunkt TravelPilot, Tomtom, Mio, Navman, Viamichelin, Navigon, VDO Dayton…) cannot be used on a different platform because every manufacturer uses different system software. Just compare it to Mac software that cannot be used on a Windows PC.
