What is GPS exactly?

GPS (Global Positioning System) is a constellation of 24 satellites circling the earth in a geostationary orbit. Thanks to a GPS receiver you can pinpoint your exact location, enabling your GPS system to find a specific location and calculate the appropriate directions that will take you to your destination.
